John 1:4-5

“4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

Have you ever been so ashamed of something you have done that you did not want anyone to discover it? I think we have all had a moment or two like this. This is especially true when we are in sin. We want to hide our sin because we are afraid of what people might think of us if they knew what we did. So, we keep sin to ourselves. Shame, guilt, and condemnation are what prevents people from confessing sin. But the reality is Jesus already knows whether we attempt to hide it or not. And keep in mind that Jesus came and died to take away all shame, guilt, and condemnation.

Satan brings condemnation.

The Spirit of God brings conviction.

Jesus wants you to walk in freedom.

Satan wants you to be a slave to sin.

Jesus wants to bring healing to your life.

Satan wants to destroy your life.

Jesus wants you walk in the light.

Satan wants to keep you in darkness.

Jesus offers grace and mercy.

Satan offers shame and guilt.

Jesus calls you a new creation in Him and gives you a better future.

Satan reminds you of your past failures and flaws.

Which one do you want owning your life?

You are not stuck in darkness. Your situation is not final. Jesus has the last say. Jesus has the last word. Just turn to the light and let Him shine through the darkness. He can pull you out of that sin you are stuck in.
