John 3:16
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
What do sacrifice look like to you? What does it look like to give your 100% to accomplishing your dream? Sacrifice requires sweat, time, focus, energy; it requires you give 100%. If you have a dream or goal of some sort, if its worth anything, it will require much. We give our best to that which is most important to us.
God gave His best. His goal was for us to know Him and have a personal relationship with us. And that goal required sacrifice. The only way this was possible is if He gave his best. He loved us so much that that He gave His only begotten Son. He laid it all on the line to accomplish His goal. Jesus willingly came, endured suffering, and died on the cross. That pain, suffering, torment, sweat, fatigue, and hardwork was all for us whom He loved. He gave His best to that which was most important to Him: us.
In response to what God did for us, I pray we would give Him our best. That we would live a life of sacrifice for God because of what He has done for us. Give God your 100%.
