Romans 12:12

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”

I came across this verse recently and I wanted to share it with you this week. This verse is short and simple yet full of powerful actions for us to apply to our lives. First, REJOICE in HOPE! If you have a personal relationship with Jesus, then you have all the hope you need. Take comfort in knowing that you will spend eternity with our Savior so be joyful while you are here on earth. Share that joy of knowing Jesus with others. What a beautiful sight that will be one day when Jesus returns, and all people will fall on bended knee to worship Him.

Second, be PATIENT in TRIBULATION. This command is a little tougher for me to want to follow. As believers, we will have trials and tribulations in this life, so God is telling us to be patient, trust in Him. You must have faith that He will get you through whatever hardship you are enduring right now. Pray for Him to teach you as you walk through the tribulation. Third, be CONSTANT in PRAYER. We must learn how to always have a posture of prayer. Throughout the day, try to be in tune to the Holy Spirit and what He might be saying to you as well as leading you to do. Take all requests to the Father and lay them at His feet. I pray that as we begin the Christmas season, you will practice these three commands that we are given.
