Isaiah 40:31

“but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

I love this verse! It encourages me and my walk with the Lord. The key word to me in the verse is wait, and I can confess that I have a difficult time waiting. I want things now and I feel like we live in a culture where if we don’t get what we want, when we want it, we become upset. I’ll order something from amazon and if it takes more than 24 hours to get it, I get angry. Taking the time to meditate on this verse is good for my soul and my patience.

Walking with the Lord in a personal way, brings wonderful benefits to your life. Reading this verse gives me the visual of soaring to new heights with my Savior. His love for me is overwhelming and I need to be better about sitting with Him and letting Him teach me His truths. Take some time today to sit and wait on the Lord. Be in a quiet place without distractions, and just think about this verse, let the words speak into your life. The Lord wants your undivided attention and to let Him hold you and love you. Wait on Him, you will be blessed from it.
