Philippians 4:4

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.”

This was my wife’s favorite verse and she referred to it all the time, especially toward the end of her life here on earth. I have been thinking about it a lot lately. My mother lost her battle with cancer on March 17th and it is really easy to want to be so angry with God for taking these two amazing women from me in less than a year’s time. As I grieve, I am choosing to focus on joy and knowing that the Lord is worthy of my praise regardless of my circumstances. I got the word “Rejoice” tattooed on my left forearm, which is so unlike me. I love the constant reminder to choose joy and rejoice in the Lord always!! Easter Sunday is almost here, and I am enjoying my different devotions that teach me about what Jesus endured those last hours of His life. I am grateful that Jesus died for me and all of us so that we might have the gift of eternal life. I encourage you to sing praises to the Lord today, rejoice in His name and give all glory to Him. He will never leave you or forsake you. He will always be with you even in the hard times. All glory and honor to Him!
