Acts 14:24-28

24 Then they passed through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia. 25 And when they had spoken the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia, 26 and from there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work that they had fulfilled. 27 And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. 28 And they remained no little time with the disciples.

What a blessing the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is to us! We see in Acts 14 Paul and Barnabus as missionaries serving the Lord and sharing His Gospel across the planet. However, their ministry did not come without opposition. They were accused of being gods and had to rebuke the people, and Paul himself was stoned and dragged out of the city of Lystra. In the midst of it all, the Gospel was spreading and many were coming to faith. The bible said they went back to Antioch and gathered with the believers there. They were encouraged by the saints, and were able to exalt the Lord for all that He was doing.

Friends, that is what gathering with the Saints of God is all about. We first and foremost lift up King Jesus in worship and declaration for who He is and what He has done. Also, we look to edify the saints around us by encouraging them to keep on keeping on in the midst of life in this tought world. Gathering as the body is so important. Do not neglect going to church on Sundays. Do not neglect gathering together in community by jumping into one of Living Hope’s family groups. The church is a blessing. Don’t miss out!

Hebrews 10:24-25

24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
